BACK AGAIN and again and again!

GREGORY A to ZHello amigos!

I am back again after a bit of a hiatus. I was on a journey, a journey that reminded me I really love to write and I really enjoy working on organicatoz.com my original site, blog and web series. A lot has happened since we launched this little rabbit and I haven’t been around to fill you in on my adventures. So before I start blogging about all things food, here’s a brief recap of my culinary exploits in the world of media!

The biggest news is that ORGANIC A to Z basically moved to planetgreen.com. That’s right, I kinda, sorta sold-out to the good people at the Discovery Channel and their new Planet Green network. Why not? This was a great way to get the word out, make a little cash and keep on keeping on. I’m really pleased with the work I did for their site and stoked to have FINISHED THE ALPHABET! So take a break from my site (but promise to come back) and check out all the recipes, blog entries and all 26 episodes of ORGANIC A to Z at:

Before I moved the web series to Planet Green I was busy working on another project for them. Back in 2008, the supremely intelligent and stylish producers at Authentic Entertainment hired me to be the resident chef on their show “G Word”. This was a nightly, hour-long, magazine format show about all things GREEN. It aired on Planet Green for many moons and so did my little segment "The Ultimate Eco Cook Off." We taped 8 episodes of my show, which had me out in the wild foraging for tasty ingredients before cooking them up in an Iron Chef battle with an established chef.

Many of the “G WORD” kitchen battles took place at the CIA in Napa and many of them featured me freaking out as I went up against the school's top chef instructors. I had a total blast though and got to cook exciting things like stinging nettles, wild mushrooms, cactus and sea urchins (which we dove for in the ocean--SO MUCH FUN!). All in all, a wonderful experience! One of the best jobs I've ever had. I felt so alive and so inspired the whole time…I'd frequently wake up in the middle of the night with new recipe ideas! Sadly the show got the boot but you can still catch it in reruns. While doing the show I started a blog for them and drafted all of my recipes from the show. For some reason, most of the recipes I wrote for the show are no longer online, but you can read some of my “blog” entries from most of the shoots:

As far as video clips of the show, those exist too. They’re floating around the internet…some are on youtube, some are on tvguide.com and some are on planetgreen.com. If you want to check those babies out, just do a search for me and g word and you got it.

OK. I’m going to sign off for now. Must get some sleep. BUT SOON, very very soon, I will begin putting up new posts so LOOK OUT!

Good to be back, hope to cook with you again soon.
