About

ORGANIC A to Z chronicles Chef Gregory’s life-long quest for good food.

The original blog was focused on going organic and centered around fun video demo’s chronicling the organic alphabet from A to Z.  At some point along the journey Gregory got picked up the Discovery Channel and leased the content to their blogs.  He was also the resident chef on Planet Green’s G WORD TV show back in 2009.

The brief bout of media success didn’t go to G’s head, in fact it humbled him and made him work harder in the kitchen.  He spent several years in high-end catering in Los Angeles, wine production in Sonoma, and worked as culinary instructor privately and at St. Joseph Center’s Culinary Training Program helping disadvantaged adult men and women get back on their feet and jobs in real kitchens.

In 2010 Gregory was awarded a James Beard Foundation Scholarship and was shipped to France to attend Le Cordon Bleu Paris where he graduated in 2011.  He then turned in his knives for a hoe and worked on organic farms throughout France and Spain studying local cuisine and artesanal production making goat cheese, olive oil, bread and all sorts of veggies.

Gregory now lives in San Sebastián, El Pais Vasco, Spain and recently launched the bi-weekly San Sebastián Supper Club.  He writes about food, he photographs food, he cooks food, he eats food.
